Red Rhythm Studios Tel: 01784 255629 Email: cliff@redrhythm.co.uk How we record you & What we use We use Cubase SX 3.1, Reason 4 & NI Komplete software with an Apple G5 Mac as the main recording platform with a MOTU 828mkII Audio card. The majority of sounds and keyboard modules are now what we call soft synths which means they are loaded into the Mac as software and played from a midi enabled keyboard. The sounds available are fully editable and very diverse. For those of you who prefer the "real" keyboards we still have some of those too! The vocal/live area is large and roomy and can be used for recording group or individual vocals, live acoustic instruments and great guitar sounds with our Marshall set up. The real instruments in our studio include: Korg Triton Workstation Novation Supernova Roland JV1080 (Fully Expanded) Yamaha CS2X Ensoniq SD1 Akai CD3000XL Other gear includes: 4 External Compressors Lexicon Reverbs Roland R70 Audio Technica AT4033 Mic Sure SM58 Mics Marshall 4X12 Angled Cab & 100 W Head Roland GP100 Guitar Processor Tascam DA20 Dat Machine Sony CD Player The Mackie 32 channel 8 bus desk connects all the outboard gear to the Mac. Monitoring is via the fantastic DynAudio BM15's Everything is mastered to CD using CoolEdit Pro. We can also burn small runs of CD's with printed labels |
